i can't imagine where, why or even how you have formed that seemingly nutsy, very overly-cynical view of modern medicine.
I don't! But the two times I needed a doctor for autoimmune issues, they couldn't help me and I figured it out myself. If all the blood tests for you come back normal, how are they going to help you? What's their plan B? They live and die by blood tests but if everything is in the normal range, they have no answers. That's been my experience anyway. I have nothing against modern medicine but they couldn't help me when I needed them. My husband suffers from really bad tinnitus and there's nothing anyone can do to help him either. Everyone just forms their own impressions on how it affects them personally.
Doctors and medicine aren't perfect and sometimes things fall through the cracks. Thankfully, I seem to have a pretty robust immune system and have never had any serious medical issues so I feel lucky. I hope they discover what caused your rash because I know first hand how torturous that can be. I so never wanted to have another skin condition that I actually took the shingles shot and hopefully I never get that.
