the answer is no if he is still trying to fill the remainder of his 36k right now there is know one on the bid at .85 so his buy either timed out or he cancled it. right now there is 1k for sale at .845 so he'll get that first then 1k @ .8486 then 1k @.8505 then 1k @ .8711 and l2 could change at open tomorrow so who knows :+)
from my expieriance on watching opening trades it goes like this in reply to your question. it could very well show that 85 as an opening ask, espeacilly if there was more in the order to fill, but this is the exact thing that will happen in a rather short time. it will drop to the next highest offer and take it out. in other words it'll go where ever the money is being spent. then it will develop into whatever flow its gonna be......depending on the urgency of whether i was exiting or entering a position i had enthusiasm about. i always used the opening pps to make my move..........with some deviations of course, always depends on the kind of play it is.
