You could be right. Trump didn't really look happy at their not-a-press-conference. But really. Something must have happened--and probably publicly--for them just to drop important parts of the program.
Why isn't the ENTIRE PRESS CORPS asking about it? It seems sort of important to me.
As for the eagle, hey, give Susie a try. I'll bet she's feeling pretty steamed these days. Naturally you'll need to add some stuff about how much you admire Donnie, but you can do that.
