Well I can’t speak to what age you retired with financial independence, but many on here have done very well. I managed to be an hourly grunt my entire working life, got laid off, etc… so probably started behind most.
Doesn’t change the fact that I can’t wrap my brain around how someone has 95% of their entire gains out of the market (OK call it 90% since I think that is the lowest # not invested I recall you posting about the last couple years to give you benefit of the doubt) and manages to degen lose 20% of your entire amount AFTER REMOVING THE 90% MONEY FROM THE MARKET without some serious serious leverage and crazy degen trading silliness.
