Agree totally irresponsible adolescent power games creates the world we live in which could be even almost heaven on earth (whatever that means) if leaders could act like human being leaders should be able to. Maybe another couple thousand years of evolution, or four, when all religions and ideologies are replaced by something along the lines of cooperative spirit. We could have such a better world. Could have.

That's my off the cuff seconds worth rant for today.

Settled rational logical add: Yep, W Australia reefs bleaching all over the place and serious
algae pollution in S Australia, a different type than you have in California. Post more later.

What's the most sad part for me is that our whole world cannot come together and say that we have a big problem, then find ways to solve it.

It IS possible. We've done it once. I'm sleepy, so I'm not gonna look it up, but back in the '90s, the ozone layer--which is very important because it protects us from solar radiation--had developed a hole. The hole was getting bigger. Dangerously bigger.

So international scientists got together and managed to convince their governments to act. They eliminated the use of aerosols that damaged the ozone layer, and did more. I don't remember what. And to the amazement of some, it worked. The hole grew smaller, and closed.

But most of Earth's inhabitants--chief among them Donald Trump, who bitched about having to use what he considered to be lousy hairspray--seem uninterested in continuing with similar efforts intended to save our environment.
