That is what I was thinking when I posted it but the more, I read the more I am confused. Even if they do an umbrella company or holding company, I think that may constitute a fundamental change to their charter and require Congress to get involved. Can/will he do this without Congress? We know he is certainly not scared to challenge Congress, but is that a good idea? Does the umbrella even constitute a change to the charters? I don't know the answer to that question. At first, I thought it would be okay, but I am not 100% positive.
I DO NOT WANT CONGRESS INVOLVED. Congress will drag this out and get as much money as they can for themselves. We would almost certainly be screwed possibly even wiped out.
I am also confused as to whose plan this is now. Did Ackman come up with this plan? Or is this Trump's idea and Ackman is going along with it? Ackman floated the idea on X before Trump posted that meme, but that doesn't mean it is Ackman's plan. I think that is important to ask.
My excitement and optimism is still here, but I am definitely left with a lot more questions the more I dig into this.
