You Don’t Remember Being a Baby, but Your Brain Was Making Memories

Brain scans capture memory formation in babies, raising new questions about why people forget their earliest years

It says, among other things:

When you ask adults about their first memory, for a specific event from their childhood, their answer typically dates back no earlier than preschool. This is true whether you ask a college student or a grandparent, suggesting that adults’ lack of infant or toddler memories is not just the result of normal forgetting that occurs with the passage of time. The gap in our autobiographical memory from when we were a baby is known as “infantile amnesia.”

True? I don't think so. I remember stuff from when I was two; that was corroborated by my mother. And I remember much more from three and four.

I don't think that's particularly unusual.

I hate bullies and racist bigots to the core. One day my cousin and I we were just kids in the 14-15 years old we decided to put out camping tent front of our house and we wanted to spend the night in the tent instead of the house just for fun, we decided to take a walk about 2 am in the morning, our street was private road and we were about a mile away from the private road, suddenly a car with three detectives from Wimbledon Police Department get of the car and told us, stopped us and ask us what are you doing walking this late at night, where are your parents? They searched us, pockets and I had 40 pounds and my cousin had 80-90 pounds on him, in the mid 70's kids our age that was a lot of money, they asked us where we got that money? We said, it's our allowance, they were puzzled and asked us where we were from, we said we were Persians, kid you not, they turned around and asked do you guys have those magic carpets that fly? I remember one day my sister from here school comes to our house to play with her, she saw cherries on the table and she asked my mom what that was and she had never tried it. Back at the boarding school, they thought my dad was some oil tycoon from the Middle East, ignorance is everywhere, not just in America, but yeah America is the worse, the next in line are Aussies, I have traveled most of Europe, never seen anything like how stupid Americans can be.
