It's difficult to time when a fast moving stock will reverse course, or stall. As a shareholder you don't want to miss out on potential gains if it keeps running, but don't want to give up gains if it collapses either. Always a tough call. My goal is to make a profit and when I do I try to just be happy with it, whatever the stock may do afterward.
I was 14x at the peak. I didn't sell and I'm perfectly fine with that. I'm still 9x. Always easy to say after the fact, but no one knows when 5x is going to 10x or 15x. Long term this is still a great play. If I sold at 5x, which would have been the "rational" thing to do, I'd be pissed I missed out on the other 4x.
