Thanks for posting Kiwi.  He feels that it is highly unlikely that the study would be stopped for efficacy.  They need something like 30-40% advantage in composite endpoint for the DSMC to advocate stopping the study. 
On another note I am going to make use of the Hawthorne effect when it comes to my health. I will pretend I am in a clinical study and hence not croak.
