BB - Interesting :

1.) I agree. Buying hydrogen instead of building expensive production capacity has always been the way to go.
I suspect that Plug can buy hydrogen for less than it costs them to make it themselves. The BIG 3 have already achieved SCALE.

2. ) This may be why no one seems to be in any hurry to finnish NY, Texas and CA.

3.) Now all PLUG has to do is figure out where to sell the Hydrogen profitably. APD, Linde and Air Liquide have already figured out that Bulk hydrogen for processing is the best buisness model.

Fuel Cells, Transportation, Power Generation, doesn't make sense / cents.

So, are you saying that Plug is losing money producing their own hydrogen and it would be cheaper to buy it from the big 3? I thought the whole idea was to build their own plants to sell hydrogen and bank the profits. This was supposed to make them profitable I thought. Then why even build any plants at all?

I thought they had already done this, but there are still plenty on the books in 2024 and they are still losing a ton of money on this business. When are those deals to run off the books?
