The reality is businesses always pass on their costs directly or indirectly to the consumer. No business wants less profit, and eats the cost of tariffs. You will pay for it one way or the other, whether up front or spread out amongst other goods and services over time - but you will pay for it. It is always a tax on the consumer eventually.
