Easy answer: for Trump, everything is about money. Secondarily, power. But gaining and holding on to power requires a good deal of work, especially as you get older, and the wolves creep closer to the door.

Amusingly, yesterday a number of his minions appeared on TV to say Donnie--"as everyone can see"--works 20 hour days, addressing and resolving pretty much all the world's problems.

That is ridiculous. What everyone really can see is how often he plays golf and attends sporting events. I suppose the latter could be considered a political activity, but it's also what he wants to do. He isn't solving any problems; he's making them worse be constantly changing his mind.

TACO. But he's got plenty of money. His tenure in office has helped him with that as much as it did some of the more corrupt Roman Emperors. Some of whom lost their power... abruptly.

Regarding Hartmann's excellent article, I'd begin with the second "Why?"....
Is it that he spent so many years burning with rage and embarrassment at not being accepted by New York high society that he's just come to hate America?

pitting Americans against each other, looting our government, and making life harder for everybody except the morbidly rich.

The answer may be as simple as the end of his first sentence. And the morbidly rich would include putin.
