I think the bigger problem with Ranexa is that it really doesn't have a decent effect on fatty acid oxidation, although that is supposed to be its claim to fame.
As a follow-up for CVTX, I know quite a few cardiology residents and over a year ago i told them to let me know when they prescribe Ranexa. I'm still waiting.
So in case anyone thinks CVTX is a bargain here, I would strongly urge you to poll some nearby centers to determine usage. The big centers that I know of are not using the drug in any appreciable manner.
