Wdereb79 - I was going to let your comment slide - and am not entirely disagreeing with it - but want to expand on it. I own common which I acquired for an average below $1.60 - so I am really pleased where we are and where we can go. But I also diversified into JPS and want to point out that in late May 2023 the price of FNMAS fell below $1.50 and is now above $15.00 - the Amelia ten bagger in 2 years instead of 5. And no, I was not lucky enough to pick it up at that price. So I strongly disagree with Amelia's position that the GSEs were not, perhaps, the deal of a lifetime - both JPS and common. Could we have done better in something like bitcoin or some other more speculative investment? Sure - but the "R" word (risk) rears its ugly head.
It is likely (to me anyway) that they will resolve this before midterms. So selling GSE stock at that point would be like walking out on a mystery movie about 16/18s of the way through. We are not absolutely certain how this will play out, but think it will all work out in the end.
