All of the above, but watch projected heat and humidity. Our 5 days in Rome, summer of 2013, rivaled anything we have experienced here in the States. A favorite of our German friends at BASF directed us south to Basel, Bern, Interlachen and the Lauterbrunnen valley to a half-day at Murren and Schilthorn. Across the valley are Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau.
Shortly, we head to Bergen,Norway via Frankfurt for a few days before boarding Viking Sky for a cruise around the British Isles.
