Not really. Mostly I attribute my AI created responses in my posts. When I don't it's mostly because the format is recognizably perplexity.ai, or I just forgot.
And while I'm perfectly able to think critically, write cogently and bring an informed mind to my posts I can't match the breadth of info, caveats, pros, cons and conclusions that AI brings to the table.
However, I see it as getting one's sister to draw a butterfly so one can hand that in for their art class homework assignment when one was perfectly able to draw.
Yes. With education as generally imperiled as it currently is in this country, I don't want to see schools deciding it's just fine to let kids' favorite AI bots do their homework and write their papers.
As I said yesterday, I think it's fair to say Clippy was early AI. Did he make a useful contribution?
