No. Bibi was in his 30s for most of the 1980s. He didn't take a leading role in Likud till the '90s.

And Reagan was selling weapons to Iran, through Ollie North. He--Reagan--also offered help to Saddam. The whole thing ended up being a huge scandal. And it illustrates why getting involved in the Middle East should be avoided.
