Did Powell do a good job when he lowered interest rates a half a point right before the election when inflation was much higher? He proved that he's a partisan pos by doing it to help the Dems but not doing it now when the economy is in better shape.
Agree. The Fed shouldnt be a direct tool used by a sitting President. Powell was appointed by Trump and re appointed by Biden because he has a calm head about monetary policy.
