Race updates:
• 2:10pm/et – Rain continues to hold off and track drying is progressing. No timeline on a possible race start but things are looking more positive….for now. Amazon Prime is back with pre-race coverage.
• 1:45pm/et – No rain at the track. Drying is underway. There is still rain and lightning north of the track that could be an issue. It is windy so that’s helping the process for now.
• 1:32pm/et – The lightning hold has been lifted at the track. Still some light rain. NASCAR still hoping rain will end in time to get the track dry and get the full race in today.
• 1:11pm/et – Amazon Prime has left pre-race coverage and is showing the Earnhardt documentary.
• 1:00pm/et – The track is still under a lightning hold. Rain remains spotty in the area. Air Titans are on track. It likely needs to stop raining by 2:30pmet today for them to have a chance to dry the track and get the full race in. Amazon Prime has live coverage now.
• 12:40pm/et – Still light rain and lightning in the area. Everything still on hold.
• At 11:45amet, it’s still raining at the track. The hourly forecast currently calls for rain to move out around 2:00pm/et. It looks like the start of the race may be delayed.
• As of 10:43am/et, there is rain and lightning at the track.
• No drivers known to be going to the rear for today’s race. After Byron’s practice accident, the team decided to fix the car.
