As far as I can tell, there's no compelling reasons to invest in any mining companies. Interestingly (to me), I did observe a joint Jordanian Israeli mining for potash operation in the Dead Sea and, oddly, there are roads running through the Sea from one country to the other, with no checkpoints or armed guards.
