Our biggest threat, and probable successor as Number One Superpower, is China. They've been around for a long, long time, and have a lot of staying power
Their only hope of being a super power is continuing their massive trade with the USA -- That issue is currently being negotiated -- should those negotiations fail to be beneficial to the USA their economy will tailspin into domestic violence. Their attemps at world trade w/o the USA would fail because Trump would punish any significant trading partner -- Japan and India would cheer
