LOL I never really noticed but you are probably right. Granted, Ronnie did a few good things like breaking up the Soviet Union and giving amnesty to a ton of undocumented immigrants but I don't think he was the same after he got shot.
I was only 11 at the time but most of my teen years involved me becoming more informed about things. The first time I voted was the 88 election and sadly I pulled the lever for Bush. I thought Dukakis was a putz but back then, things worked differently than they do now. I haven't voted for a Republican in the general since Clinton but I've been known to stray or not even bother in some of our off year local elections when I was younger.
Those days are done now. I'm more involved than ever. I don't know what it's going to be like there in Appalachia but I'll find a way to get involved.
