TSLA - I'll be extremely impressed and surprised if this Robotaxi rollout is a success. It sounds almost like science fiction. There's so much data to process, signs to read, traffic to look out for, etc. And any fatalities will cause a big liability issue. Even though I have a small short position in the stock, I hope the rollout is successful because it would be a great feat of technology at a remarkably low cost per car. But I'm very skeptical .... we'll see how it goes.

TSLA - Google's Waymo now has provided over 10M taxi rides .... I had no idea it was that many. It's a technical success but the cars are very expensive, so they're losing lots of money per car .....

Waymo was doing 10,000 paid rides a week in August 2023. By May 2024, that number of trips in cars without a driver was up to 50,000. In August, it hit 100,000. Now it’s already more than 250,000.
