Unfortunately I have to stay quiet to get meaningful positions. I spent months buying CNRD sub $8 until I got to about 3/4 position and gave a one word post on them in Dec 2023 in case someone saw it (on CNRD board) but no one was paying attention and that was fine cuz I wanted more if it fell.
I feel a bit bummed when they had a horrendous quarter reported April 2024 and plunged to $7 that I didn’t load up more. I just sat on what I had. But my cost basis was/is around $7.5 at least. I missed a huge opportunity to get more cuz the Q scared me. I didn’t realize at the time that they fully booked the forward loss on the Amelia (second hopper barge). You can see they claim the full loss on the Q it appears evident (see page 11 last paragraph in the last Q report verbiage). I didn’t see that part at the time so I missed a tremendous buying opportunity and as rare as those are I still kick myself over it lol.
Here was my post in April 2024 when that ugly report came out and how my thesis was for coming Qs not that one. It also shows I was scared to buy more due to the big loss. Dumb of me and didn’t do good DD missing that point in their Qs (the og 11 verbiage).
Anyway, I like a few of the posters here but Wade drives me nuts so try not to pop up much and understand I probably sound pompous at times but some of that is because I spend a lot of time looking into the few finds I invest heavily in and don’t get anything out of posting about them other than increased competition to buy. If I get a full position or see the boat has set sail, I sometimes pop in here to make a mention but otherwise probably do better staying quiet these days.
Plus I have zero background in finance or investing as far as teaching/learning from college or whatever so my competency level is very basic and very restricted. But I realize it and use what I know in the microcap space.
