I'll say this: I think at least the protesters of my--our, really--generation knew what our country and our government was supposed to be about. We weren't like today's MAGA idiots. Some of us--the ones who occupied buildings at Columbia, for example--did go too far, but what was done had some knowledge behind it.
Of course that's also Trump's generation. But it seems the only attention he paid was to make sure he had student deferments from the draft, and medical deferments after he graduated.
But today's MAGA people don't seem to have any idea what the founding principles of our nation are. Not even a tiny clue.
