Theegala withdrew from the event early Sunday morning, citing a neck injury.
The PGA Tour took to social media to share this announcement before Round 4, where Theegala was scheduled to tee off alongside Garrick Higgo in the first group at 8 a.m. ET.
"Sahith Theegala WD before the final round of the Truist Championship (neck injury)," the tour wrote on X.
Theegala carded a 1-under 69 on Thursday, followed by a 1-over 71 on Friday at the Philadelphia Cricket Club. The 27-year-old golfer slid all the way down to last place on Saturday with an 8-over 78 in the $20 million, no-cut signature event.
