#287189 RE: fza #287181

Do me a favor: take an index card and fold it in half.  This is a rough approximation of your model of a pile created as someone moved backwards while pouring cocoons.  Raise the card up to eye level.  There is only one viewpoint where the ridgeline cannot be detected: perfectly centered on the pile from left to right and perfectly perpendicular to the ridge line.  The only way significant depth can be hidden is from one precise viewpoint.  And that only happens when the ridge line is perfectly straight.
Why spend a couple of hours getting your camera and pile in just the perfect position to disguise the amount of silk produced when you can photograph the pile from a vantage point approximately parallel to the ridge line, revealing a larger quantity of silk produced?
A lot of effort to minimize the apparent amount of silk produced.  I assume KBLB desperately wants to disguise the actual quantity of silkworms produced in this crop.
I'm pretty sure you got to sit in the classroom corner wearing your "dunce" cone of shame on many occasions in elementary school.  It still looks good on you.
