I'm not a defeatist. I'm telling you what's happened, and you're in denial.
When Joe Biden went to Europe, he stated, "America is back."
And they replied, "Yes, but for how long?"
As it turned out, not long. What's being said in the capitals of Europe and in Canada, is that the US is no longer a reliable ally, and may even be an adversary. Do you think any of the Five Eyes are going to share intelligence with the likes of Pete Hegseth or Tulsi Gabbard? Do you think they'll share intelligence with the next administration, knowing that 4 years later the Tulsi Gabbards and Pete Hegseths might be back and have access to it?
France and Great Britain have nuclear arsenals, Poland and the Baltic states have never doubted that the US nuclear umbrella was covering them, but they now know that the Trump regime doesn't stand by them. Rooster says that appeasing Putin is the only way to ensure peace, and he's supposedly an American. JD Vance went to Germany and campaigned for the actual fucking Neo Nazi party (AFD). trump is squeezing Canada economically to strong arm them into becoming a US State, and threatening to take Greenland and the Panama Canal by force.
This is no longer a one off. We elected trump after seeing what he was. Don't tell me about how it was a minority of voters; the ones who sat on their asses elected him just as surely as the ones who pulled the levers.
Our friends and allies are facing the reality that we are no longer their friends or allies. And you're saying... Oh, they'll be back. They love us. How much abuse do you expect them to take? More to the point, their lives and livelihoods are on the line.
WASHINGTON (AP) — One went to the United States. The other went to China. It was a sign of the times.
While the Swiss president was in Washington last week to lobby U.S. officials over President Donald Trump’s threatened 31% tariff on Swiss goods, the Swiss foreign minister was in Beijing, expressing his nation’s willingness to strengthen cooperation with China and upgrade a free trade agreement.
Earlier this month, Xi — on his first foreign trip this year — visited Vietnam, Malaysia and Cambodia, resulting in mutual pledges for closer economic and trade ties. In Vietnam, which faces the 46% tariff from the U.S., Beijing and Hanoi agreed to strengthen industrial and supply chain cooperation. In Malaysia and Cambodia, Xi secured similar agreements. Cambodia is faced with a 49% tariff from the U.S., and Malaysia 24%.
Then there’s Japan: Despite its long-standing enmity towards the nation that once colonized parts of it, the Chinese government has reached out to Tokyo and urged a coordinated response, according to Kyodo News.
