BB, I am truly broken- hearted for your loss. I know this pain and it is excruciating. I hope the skin loss was accidental on your dear dog. Knowing that a pet is in bad pain is just awful . Any technology that spares a living creature from even the most innocent injury of any kind would be a godsend. Let us hope this all works as intended, for their sakes, our dear pets, more than ours.
