Well, here's what Ruiz really said:
Ruiz: "We have had engineering samples out, with customers, we have been getting a lot of feedback, a lot of data to give us confidence that our separation in terms of performance metrics that are valuable,that are important, that are significant and relevant, that we think we'll have a significant opportunity to distance ourselves from the competition, and we're talking about a 30-40% improvement on those things that are important. I'd like to point out though because sometimes it gets confused, that in todays environment, that we have a three year old architecture that we call Opteron, that in most of the places, where we go head to head with our competitions greatest products and latest products, we find that we're very competitive and half the time there are benchmarks that they win on and half the time there are benchmarks that we win on. The next generation of product that we are introducing here, the real quad core, this is really a significant jump in all of those benchmarks, and we are pretty excited and pretty thrilled that we are looking at numbers of 3 and 4 decades of points, you know 30-40% improvement from what we have seen in the market and anticipate seeing in the market. And we are really excited that this will raise the bar significantly in terms of performance and we are still on target to start sampling customers and begin to make shipments toward the 2nd, uh, the end of summer.
