These tariffs are meant to level the playing field for American companies. Why is that so bad? If they can sell cars here why is it impossible to sell cars in other countries? Why are all so many American Apps banned in China but Chinese companies can operate here?
I'm not sure why you have a hard on about manufacturing jobs? Manufacturing is not what it was back in the 70's. Just look at Tesla, they are 90% is automated. They might not employ that same number of people as a car manufacturer in the 70's but they do employ highly skilled workers that make a lot more. Why is that a bad thing for American's?
