Canada and Mexico had no tariffs on us. The island populated only by penguins had no tariffs and no negative trade balance. If Dumpy's goal is to get factory jobs back home, why would he negotiate? And if he gets to zero-zero tariffs, how is that going to bring any factories back to the US?
If it comes back and that's a HUGE if it will in no way be fast. In fact trump would be long out of office before we know the full impact of his tariff war. And who is going to work these manufacturing jobs? Ummm robots will which should be plain to see. People are expendable don't ya know? The best we can hope for here is a fair and quick release to stock up and get our bunkers built.
