Sykes hasn't promoted pinkies in a long time if ever. He uses pinks as an educational tool citing historical bull runs to teach his students how to know what patterns to look for. But he has been promoting Pinks to his students like you say. Just not publicly, that would be a new skill which he could easily adapt too if interested. I'm only using him as one example. There are others out there.
