😑 Trump is back on the timeline, screaming about “economic revolutions” and whipping posts like someone dared him to write a speech using only phrases from a motivational poster and a country song. Apparently, we’ve been the “dumb and helpless whipping post” of the global economy—which is interesting, because I’m pretty sure we’ve spent the last 75 years collecting natural resources like Pokémon cards while lecturing the rest of the world on capitalism.
He insists China’s been “hit harder,” which sounds like the economic version of “You should see the other guy.” Meanwhile, our markets are free-falling, our allies are confused, and our trade policies are being written like breakup letters scrawled on a Waffle House napkin. But sure, keep saying “not even close” like that makes it true. Nothing screams stability like denial in all caps.
Then we hit the $5 trillion claim, which is, generously, fiction. Where is this investment? Did it come from the Tooth Fairy’s hedge fund? Has anyone audited this number or did he just roll his face across the zero key while feeling patriotic? If $5 trillion actually poured in, why does the stock market look like a haunted rollercoaster, and why are small businesses staring into the abyss like it’s an inspirational mural?
“THIS IS AN ECONOMIC REVOLUTION,” he bellows, as if revolutions are generally led by guys who throw tantrums over interest rates and measure policy success in flag emojis. Newsflash: you don’t win an economic war by tweeting through it. You win by not detonating your own supply chains while yelling “HANG TOUGH” like you’re the financial commander of a boy band.
So here we are: watching a grown man in a red hat scream into the void while America’s economy flatlines and he calls it progress. If this is greatness, someone please hand me a subpar exit strategy and a drink. We don’t need an economic revolution. We need a refund.
Those Penguins are fighting back against Trump's tariffs that he placed upon them. Personally I think no one should place tariffs on Penguins, but you support trump and his tariffs and don't care about Penguins.
Are you stupid or just ignorant? Vietnam does not have a 90% tariff on our goods. The idiots, like you, just took how much they exported to the US and then subtracted what we exported to them. The difference is the divided into what they exported to us divided by 2. Vietnam’s average tariff was 9.4%. That was the formula for everyone on that graph. It had nothing to do with the tariffs on American products.
