After another week of pure chaos from Musk and Trump, I’m happy to have more good news to deliver to you today. I hope it shows you there are incredible patriots fighting alongside us against this tyranny, and that it gives you some sense of relief.

Dem Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Bernie Sanders continued their joint “Fighting Oligarchy” tour, with stops in Colorado yesterday. They were welcomed by 11,000 people in Greeley, and more than 34,000 people in Denver.

AOC slammed GOP Rep. Gabe Evans, saying: “Do you know which Coloradans did vote to cut medicare and jack up health care costs? Every single Republican representative from Colorado. Don't you worry, I was just at Gabe Evans' district, and 11,000 of his constituents would like a word with him.”

Sanders had a pointed message for Trump: “Turn off Fox TV and take a few moments to read the Constitution of the United States.” Sanders also said of Trump’s attacks on media outlets that refuse to “fawn” over him: “If you cannot take the criticism, get the hell out of politics.”

Folks from every political angle are angry, and the message uniting them all is undeniable: Billionaires should not be running our government, and they must be held accountable for their illegal acts.

In the courts, US District Judge James Boasberg has had enough of the Trump Administration’s lies about deportation. The judge is now investigating why his order to halt flights was ignored. Boasbarg said: “I will get to the bottom of whether they violated my order—who ordered this and what the consequences will be.” He also called Trump’s actions “awfully frightening,” and his use of the Alien Enemies Act “unprecedented.”

In Colorado, a federal judge blocked the deportation of Jeanette Vizguerra—a mother of four and an outspoken critic of Trump. Denver Mayor Mike Johnson said Vizguerra’s arrest is “not about safety. This is Putin-style persecution of political dissidents.” Meanwhile, protests have formed calling for Vizguerra’s immediate release.

The backlash against Musk continues to pile on. One of Tesla’s biggest longtime investors, Ross Gerber, called for Elon to step down as CEO—if he doesn’t refocus on the company. On top of that, more protests are planned today outside of Tesla dealerships, showrooms, and even charging stations.

Town halls continued across the country this week. In GOP Rep. Ryan Mackenzie’s District, 400 people gathered to hear from DNC Chair Ken Martin, along with Dem Reps Mary Gay Scanlon, Susan Wild, and Jamie Raskin. Mackenzie was invited to attend, but decided not to show up. Instead, the embattled Rep. cowardly hosted a telephone town hall, with only 24 hours notice.

One of the few Republicans who is more unhinged than Marjorie Taylor Greene—Andy Biggs—held what he called a “town hall.” Except media was banned, and only Republicans were allowed to attend. Yeah—that is not a town hall.

500 people showed up to an empty-seat town hall in Maine, where GOP Sen. Susan Collins has refused to do in-person town halls for nearly 25 years. At the front of the room sat an easel with a picture of Collins, asking “Where’s Susan?”

Constituent Dale Thompson, who is a Veteran, asked: “where have you been? … When Trump threatened our Governor to cut off funding for our children—MY children—where the hell were you?” Thanks to our supporter Carol for pointing this out!

Dem Sen. Adam Schiff made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel, and said something that stuck with me. He stated: “The path back to power for the Democratic Party is to show that we can get s**t done again.”

And that’s exactly what we’re doing. Showing people every day that when we work together, we truly are unstoppable.

Harris big poll leader, while Trump says he didn't sign the Enemies Alien Act for deportations, and doesn't know who did

Harris dominates in poll on who Democrats want as president - with AOC in third

Kamala Harris topped a new poll on who Democrats would back in the 2028 presidential primary if it was held today, with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in third place.

Despite losing the 2024 election to Donald Trump, the former vice president was backed by 36 percent of Democratic and Democratic-leaning voters in Morning Consult’s latest poll.

New York’s Ocasio-Cortez, who is currently touring the U.S. to rally against Trump’s policies with Vermont senator Bernie Sanders, was in third place with 5 percent. Sanders, an Independent, sought the Democratic nomination in 2016 and 2020.

Harris’s former running-mate Tim Walz was also tied with Ocasio-Cortez at 5 percent, as was California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who is often touted as a future party leader despite little national experience.

Questions swirl after Trump says he ‘didn’t sign’ Aliens Enemies Act

President Donald Trump confused reporters on Friday afternoon after claiming he “didn’t sign” the presidential proclamation that invoked the controversial Alien and Enemies Act in order to quickly deport migrants the administration says are part of a Venezuelan gang.

When asked by a reporter about signing the proclamation “in the dark” – rather than at the Oval Office desk or in a public capacity as the president has done with other executive actions – the president denied signing it at all.

“I don’t know when it was signed, because I didn’t sign it,” Trump said on the South Lawn of the White House on Friday. “Other people handled it. But Marco Rubio’s done a great job. And he wanted them out, and we go along with that. We want to get criminals out of our country.”

Despite his claim, the president’s digital signature does appear on the version of the proclamation available on the Federal Register website.

The White House later clarified that the president was referring to the original Alien Enemies Act, passed by Congress in 1798 and did sign the recent proclamation that invokes the highly controversial set of laws.

“President Trump was obviously referring to the original Aliens Enemies Act that was signed back in 1798,” White House Communications Director Steven Cheung said in a statement.

[Insert: Who are they lying to. LOLOL As if he ever could have been
saying he didn't sign an act signed over 200 years ago. Seriously.]

“The recent Executive Order was personally signed by President Trump invoking the Alien Enemies Act that designated Tren de Aragua as a Foreign Terrorist Organization in order to apprehend and deport these heinous criminals,” Cheung added.

Good points. With such a diverse country - should be full accommodation to the plurality.
