It's on hell of a disagreement for sure. I still feel Schumer took the decision which could cost him his job because he had thought it all through, and though others disagree he did it because he deeply believed, unpopular as he knew it would be, his was the right decision. You're right he didn't see it as a democratic decision to be made, but the decision he felt was the only one. Leaders have to pull rank sometimes if they feel it's important to do so.
I still don't understand why you guys give so little credence to the reasons he gave. Carte blanche to Musk. The keys to more is unarguable. Tthat's why i replied to your Sludge heading. Giving Musk what Musk wanted. The fact the courts would be taken out of play in a shutdown, but not in the case of a continuing resolution.
To me they and the rest sound like good common sense reasons for his decision and i haven't yet seen a good argument against them. Anywhere. The point that Schumer's decision was such an outlier is not an argument against the reasons for his decision he gave.
