If halo was to prevail against Merck I would guess the next step would be to stop Ateogen from doing business in this area until Halo patents run their course. Any company who want sc delivery would be forced to go to halo or wait an extra 6-8 years to market. that would put halo in the 100s per share. I would say it’s in Merck’s interest to pay halo to get this on the market and not take the chance of losing. Keep in mind opdivo will be sc and start taking mkt share from Merck. Like I’ve previously said Merck really screwed this up by not going to halo when they had their chance. They have a big problem now that’s not easily solved. This is way bigger than injectors taking more time to get deals done.
I am just a little puzzled by the fact that Alteogen bounced back nicely too so I'm no clear what the market's expectations are. I guess the dispute so far is with Merck and not Alteogen? And yet I find it hard to believe that Alteogen would not be negatively affected if Halo prevailed.
