Part of the reality is the lie that it would be shut down for months and months. That's a lie from the gop and an ill informed chicken shit shruumer.

It would have been shut down for as long as it took for them to come to an agreement. It would not have automatically reopened on some arbitrary date.

And federal courts are closed on federal holidays. Even the insignificant ones, so...
