Its not a matter of transitioning away from fossils......and yes there are those that deny need to......but as posted before the energy needs of the world are growing every day........Solar can't keep up, nor wind.......Some are doing the smart thing and moving to nuclear with zero emissions......
With the electronic age and growing middle classes and countries who got our factories around the world but not our environmental standards.....The need for energy grows daily.......We still need fusion, or bridge with nuclear, we need the next generation battery......and a new grid......
Till then we can gripe all we like but the world isn't stopping its growth and the ever growing need for electricity and transportation
