He's flat out wrong. And closer to a traitor.
He may well be wrong, but it's silly to say he's a "traitor". He just needs to be replaced. He's been in Congress for too long, and he assumes things have always been the same, and always will be.
He's wrong about that. Donald Trump has at least succeeded in making a difference. But it's a very negative difference. Really, most "new" presidents have the sense not to do controversial things in their first hundred days. They seek to make good on some campaign promises, or at least take steps to do so. In return, the public usually grants them a honeymoon period.
Trump has not done that. If he'd begun this term trying to antagonize the greatest number of people he could, in this country and in the rest of the world, this is what he would have done.
So. IS it what he's trying to do? Just to show that he can, and get the attention he craves? That seems likely. But he's already wavered. His tariffs have been on again, off again. He's had other plans that he apparently just gave up on after announcing them. So right now, we seem stuck with his bullshit about making Canada the 51st state, "taking" Greenland because it's suddenly "necessary" to our national security, and sending troops to take back the Panama Canal.
What's needed is for more, MANY more people to recognize what this is, which is insanity. He isn't going to "calm down" or give up playing the clown with Elon and others. He is mentally ill, and needs to be removed from office. I've been saying this ever since he returned to office, and I only feel more strongly about it now.
I think Chuck just hasn't been paying enough attention. Things will not return to what passes for "normal" these days. Strong measures must be taken.
