I think that if there are significant cuts in fed education spending, the states that are impacted would likely find a way to meet the shortfall. (Especially in NY/NYC.) They called out the significant demand they were seeing for mental health professionals in the school systems. If anything, the current turmoil in Washington only amplifies that need, IMO
IIRC RCMT also has substantial contracts with the Chicago public school system. Given a flaming dumpster fire filled with radioactive waste would be a step up improvement over Chicago's current budget situation that is what I'd be worried about. Its easier to justify cutting contracts than cutting employees.
Thats a concern whether or not there are federal cuts.
RCMT and while I agree with Abh that the cities/states will do their best to fund education on their own, I also think that if they have to make cuts, the psychological therapists may be the first to go.
Did you buy any? I got a few, but small. I actually was able to sell my small position yesterday afterhours at $17.34 for a few percent loss.... I guess thats the benefit of a small position. The neg is it nice when it goes up, but not that big a reward.
