Fearfrost - I'll have to get back to you on an opinion on BMRN, I've casually followed it through your board but I don't honestly know enough about it to offer an informed or useful opinion. I found a Biotech Stock Research BioMarin web interview I'm looking forward to listening to, it's from last August I think.

I'm usually pretty pessimistic when it comes to the overall market, and in the past I would sometimes switch over to a mostly cash mode, only to watch the markets keep climbing.

In particular I'm always worried about terrorist events in the U.S., sooner or later it's going to happen and may well have a terrible effect on the markets.

I lost a ton (like almost everyone) during the dot com implosion, and I'll do my damnedest to try and avoid that ever again, and it's little warning shots across the bow like last week that will be the first sign that a meltdown is perhaps starting again.

So the tremors from the world markets the past week have definitely concerned me, but since the majority of my investments are in stocks that aren't directly tied to the overall market sentiment, I'll probably stand pat on them for now.

I realize there's not any hard technical info in my views, I guess I go a lot by the gut and what I see around me in the news and hear on the street to form opinions on macro trends, and decide whether to act on them.

Macro event trading involves so many variables that are contradictory that it almost makes analyzing a single stock seem simplistic.

Almost... Aiming4.
