2-vehicle crash briefly closes lanes on I-10 at Salt River Bridge

The crash happened just before 11:30 a.m. at the Salt River Bridge overpass.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, minor injuries have been reported.

A DPS spokesperson said the crash involved a Hyundai SUV and a Tesla, which struck a pole, rolled and caught fire in the westbound lanes.

It’s unclear what led to this crash.

The way this reads is the Tesla may have gone out of control and then the Hyundai hit it given that the Tesla is badly damaged, hit several objects and that the Hyundai is not behind the Tesla to indicate it hit the Tesla based on the photo evidence. Do to greater uncertainty, this get an asterisk.
