Thank you for your post I really appreciate it. It was thoughtful and goes to some of the core questions of what we're seeing. You took the time to understand what I was explaining and responded with well thought out questions.
My answer is yes to your questions. Here is why.

I'm going to address the quote by Vance.
Because he's actually vice president and his reaction is most relevant.

Vance: “I think that what Trump should do, if I was giving him one piece of advice: Fire every single mid-level bureaucrat, every civil servant in the administrative state, replace them with our people. . . And when the courts stop you, stand before the country, and say ‘the chief justice has made his ruling. Now let him enforce it.’” (James Pogue, “Inside the New Right, Where Peter Thiel Is Placing His Biggest Bets,” Vanity Fair, April 20, 2022)

On the surface this might sound like crazy talk. And on any other topic I would agree with you. But this is specifically about the bureaucratic state and the bloated unsustainable status of our government.
$323,046 is the current amount of debt per taxpayer. This is an existential threat to our country.

For analogy and context the Constitution clearly states that only Congress can declare war. They haven't done so since world war II. I think there's just a common understanding that the president is the Commander in Chief and he must ward off any threats as he sees fit. I'm sure the first time it happened there were many concerned citizens talking about constitutional crisis. The end of democracy. All the catchphrases we're seeing today. Here we are all these years later and we're still a country. Now you can argue the morality of all the wars we fought in the last 80 years. But no one considers it a crisis anymore when a President says yeah we got to drop some bombs over here or I'm sending some troops over there. A few people might grumble, a couple of senators might give a speech and a few hundred people might hold up some signs. The rest of us are fine with the way things are going.
So in spite of clearly laid out language in the Constitution everybody just understands that the president is in charge of the country. And we allow this attitude to exist when most of these wars are not defensive. They're not existential threats.

In the case of our debt it is an existential threat and I think we should give even more latitude to the president than we do with war. $323,046 per taxpayer If that note was called due today how many of us could pay it? 1% of us? I think when all the hysteria is over and all the money has been saved we will all get on with our lives just fine. Congress knows about this debt and they don't act. The President can't force them to act. But when the very existence of the Republic is threatened and we are headed towards an obvious bankruptcy he better act.
I don't know if you knew this but Elon doubled the profits on X even though revenue has been cut almost in half. Somebody who is good at getting positive cash flow to the bottom line is a necessary piece in this puzzle.
For what Trump is doing right now somebody should be getting out the hammer and chisel and heading over to Mount Rushmore about now.

My biggest criticism of trump is that he is not articulate. It's on purpose, it's part of his strategy of getting you to underestimate him. But he does the smart thing he draws the correct conclusions. Sometimes I wish he had a right hand man that could then flow in behind him and be articulate. Steve Bannon was that man. He did an interview with Charlie Rose and I didn't know much about him I saw a Saturday night live skit depicting him as the grim reaper but that's about all I knew....... But when I watched Charlie Rose I realized that Steve Bannon is a very articulate genius. I think he's trying to put Elon into that role which is why he gave him so much time to speak to the media yesterday.

We all know our country isn't doing very well, we used to be number one in education. Our dollar was worth a lot more etc. I think history needs to empower the president to fix this. Because the stalemate between Congress and the president over this issue is obviously never going to be resolved and if it isn't we all three branches of government die on the vine along with all the citizens and when the United States no longer exists I truly think it would unleash hell on Earth.

My advice to everyone is to let this play out. Because the media didn't explain any of this stuff to you. All they did was whip you into Hysteria.
