I don't think he likes to spend a lot of time with them. But in fairness, back in his first term I read something explaining that when there were Oval Office events to which some kids were invited. He was very nice to them. Journalists didn't like to admit it, but they say it's true.
And also that he and Barron had a good relationship when Barron was little. And presumably now as well.
He seems not to have got on as well with Junior. Ivanka says that when she was sent to private school after her parents split, she was 12. And she'd call him every day at lunch time. He'd always make time to talk for a while.
