Something struck me as "off" during the vote counting, but I haven't seen any legit proof. Doesn't mean it isn't so, but there are so many crimes being committed that could be prosecuted that starting out with an "intuition" case wouldn't be very productive, IMHO.
Things are being orchestrated at a breakneck speed.. My gf got one of the Deferred Resignation Agreements from the Dept. of Agriculture via email and it is not even on an official letterhead, and has no signature of who exactly is ordering it. I recognize many of the clauses as parts of the Union Agreement that has been altered by a not-very clever imitation lawyer.
The whole thing is three pages of stuff to protect the agency signer, and basically no protections for the employee. Some of the clauses are even contradictory. Someone would have to be pretty gullible to sign it. It says the employee must still work, but another clause says they will be on extended administrative leave and will get a lump sump on Sep 30th. It is so poorly done that I doubt it would pass muster for a local Magistrate. It came, however, through official channels as an official email for the agency.
It says it is for the protection of the employee... protection from the employer and a waiver for the employee to agree to not sue is conveniently included. Protection from what? Couple of weeks ago no one had heard of this but now a full court press is being executed to separate as many employees as possible as quickly as possible. I am guessing this will not end well. Government by fiat is not what americans respond well to, never have, I cannot believe that they think hundreds of thousands of people will just give up their jobs voluntarily because donnie thinks it is a good idea.
