I tried my best to remain optimistic for as long as I could. I did okay until the inauguration but every day since then I've become more outraged than the last and I'm not holding it in anymore. I've even thrown my hat in the ring for our party since the election, starting to do a little more work for them and getting my face out there. Public speaking was never my thing but it's funny how something that affected me so profoundly made me able to suddenly find my voice.
I may be a bit rough around the edges but I'm a carpenter/facilities manager, not a Harvard graduate. If it goes where I want it to, it might cost me my job but I'm prepared for all that. I'm healed up enough now after my last crash that I'm ready to get back up on those ladders and scaffolds if need be or who knows what else?
All I know is in five days I'll be posting double nickels for my age and if I'm going to do something else it has to be now. I can't go back to real estate prospecting because the market is so overcooked that I'd have to gamble my retirement money to get my foot back in the door. Wall Street has pretty much guaranteed that for me.
All I know is I'm not going to take this lying down anymore and I give no quarter to these MAGA fucksticks any longer. They voted for this shit and they have the gall to come here and blame me? Call me an elitist? Please. Look in the mirror idiots. Nobody held a gun to your head and had you vote for who you did. As the current shithead unravels everything that's been achieved over the last 100 years and specifically improvements for their home states in the last 5, they are finally going to get up and realize that it isn't smart to believe pathological liars and who was really on their side, fighting for all Americans.
