For some time now (yeas) both the NYSE and NASDAQ have been slobbering at the mouth, waiting for Fannie and Freddie to get back in shape to be relisted; hopefully to be relisted on their exchanges. Relisting isn't a particularly difficult undertaking. The mountain we have to climb is to become unencumbered; that is to get out from under government control. That, too, is not particularly difficult but the government wants you to think it's practically impossible. Recall, if you will, conservatorship was done with a simple signature. It could be removed the same way as the FHFA Director has that authority. Until that happens, Fannie and Freddie's true potential will not be recognized. If and when I decide to sell, I want both running at full speed while hitting on all cylinders.
