Allow me to take a crack at it. While it could be several things depending on the situation, here I would venture that more preferred stock is ready to be converted, and sold, into the market in a much quicker fashion.
I claim no vast knowledge of the DTC, but this is one basic understanding I hold. Please correct me if this is off base.
