No, they are separate positions. CFO is a higher position. The CFO reports directly to the CEO and a Finance Director reports to the CFO.
I don't think that the CFO position is that big of a deal. The current CFO, David Weigand, is still serving and will serve until they find a new CFO.
The elephant in the room is the financials. They just need to file the annual 10-K. If they can get that done in the next few weeks, then the share price is going to take off.
